She has an original career: translator-interpreter,
this north German woman has also a hobby – the painting on wood.
Settled 20 years ago in Pays d’Auge, she totally gives herself to her
passion for Art, in an east European tradition of painting furniture.
Her originality is not only the result of her art palette, but also due
to her way to reuse lots of rustic items that she uses to make original
decorative items.
A barrel makes a loveseat, a piece of a door changes to a coat rack;
ideas, ideas in abundance all brighter than the others.
Mecki remains true to her style and her authenticity.
She expresses her sensitivity through her paintings reminding us
incessantly of nature, particularly of the flowers and the red poppies
that she loves so much.
